GRANITE

Description

Granites are Igneous Rocks formed by slowly cooling pockets of Magma, the melted rocks; those were trapped beneath the earth’s surface for years. Igneous rocks are also formed when volcanoes erupt, causing the magma to rise above the earth’s surface. When exposed at the surface, magma is called lava, which cools above ground to form spherical rocks having granular crystalline texture.

Process

Granite blocks are extracted using advanced quarrying techniques. Excavation by dynamite blasting is not done which could cause damages to the precious stone. Selected granite blocks are processed in sophisticated plants equipped with indigenous machinery driven by the latest technology. Diamond gang saws and vertical saws are used for slicing the blocks into various specified thicknesses as 2cm, 3cm, and 4cm in accordance with the choice of customers’ end use. State-of-the-art Line Polishing machines are used for getting permanent mirror finish gloss on granite face. Calibrated, beveled and polished tiles in 1cm and 2cm thickness are processed in modern tiling plants.

2400 to 2800 length x 1300 to 1800mm height gang saw slabs.
Thickness: 20mm, 30mm, and 40mm.

Granite Tiles: One face polished Calibrated & beveled / Non-calibrated & beveled.
Size: 300 x300mm, 305 x 305mm, 400 x400mm, 600 x300mm
Thickness: 10mm and 20mm.

Size and thickness of slabs & tiles can be customized.
